Cryo-Electron Microscopy Reconstructions Guided by Global Optimization"
at the 13th Annual Sealy Structural Biology Symposium, Galveston, Texas, May 16-17, 2008 and at the 18th Keck Center Annual Research Conference, Houston, October 3-4, 2008.
Assistant Professor Stefan Birmanns was awarded the "John P. McGovern Outstanding Teacher" award by the students of the School of Biomedical Informatics.
